Yolanda Murray, LPC
I am a dedicated counselor with a background in education, mental health counseling, and student/ family development. I’m passionate about helping clients uncover their strengths, navigate challenges, and move toward personal growth and emotional wellness.
I primarily work with late adolescents, teens, professional adults, military service veterans (like me), and aging adults who are navigating transitions, anxiety, self-esteem issues, and life stressors. Whether you’re a middle schooler learning to manage emotions, a professional seeking balance,or an elder working through life changes, I provide tailored support to help you thrive.
I use a person-centered and strengths-based approach, integrating cognitive-behavioral techniques and solution-focused strategies. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to work through challenges at their own pace using productive techniques.
My communication style is warm, engaging, and direct. Being direct is very important when moving towards a goal. I believe in being an active listener while providing honest, compassionate feedback. Sessions are a judgment-free zone where you’ll feel supported but also gently challenged to grow.
