Faith Carroll, LCSW

Faith Carroll graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University with her masters in social work with an emphasis on studies of Hispanic children and families.  During her career she has volunteered at a child advocacy center, worked in residential and outpatient substance use treatment as well as psychiatric hospitals. Faith has a passion for working with those battling mental illness and/or addiction and their families. She has experience with individual therapy sessions, family sessions and CBT, EMDR, DBT, ACT, mindfulness and experiential groups.

Often when people come to therapy they are seeking a change in their life. As an experiential therapist, Faith believes change happens from changing one’s perspective. In her approach she supports her clients with unconditional positive regard to help them reach their goals and maximize their potential. Faith’s areas of focus include: addiction, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, grief, trauma, life transitions, codependency, relationship issues, and family conflict.

In sessions she utilizes Motivational Interviewing (MI), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), principles of Dialectical Behavioral therapy (DBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Outside of work, Faith loves to cook, watch true crime, play board games with family, go hiking with her dogs and go camping. She also loves to challenge herself in the gym or practicing yoga.
