Chelsea Garcia, LCSW-S

Chelsea is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Approved Supervisor (LCSW-S) with over ten years of experience working with adolescents and adults, in both educational and clinical settings. Chelsea seeks to create a safe and non-judgmental environment in which to discover strengths, tackle unmet mental health needs or a history of trauma, or even to say the things you never thought you would say aloud. Her person-centered approach is collaborative and unique to you as a client.

Chelsea employs a variety of methods, meeting her clients where they are at, using a trauma informed lens, and tapping into the most appropriate treatment modality for their current needs. She helps clients foster self-awareness into their thoughts, feelings and behaviors with the support of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness and stress reduction interventions, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.

Chelsea believes all people have the capacity to create and sustain positive change within themselves. She strives to help her clients regain a sense of empowerment over their lives, rebuilding their strength and resilience to face life’s challenges and stressors. She truly believes in the healing power of relationships and feels privileged to share in the lives of her clients; her ability to connect and build trust results in more effective treatment.

When she is not providing therapeutic support, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, traveling, spending time outside and exploring the city she lives in!
