Brian Stacey, LMSW
Brian is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with experience working with acute mental health disorders in both partial-hospitalization and intensive-outpatient programs. He works with a diverse population of adolescents and adults to address mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, ADHD, and more. Brian also works with adolescents and adults struggling with identity, grief and loss, LGBTQIA+-related issues, and major life transitions.
Brian specializes in working with professionals, young adults, and the LGBTQIA+ community. Prior to his experience in mental health, Brian worked in various tech industries and understands the stress and pressure of working in a fast-paced environment. This experience gives him a unique insight into helping adults manage their mental health while balancing a career and other aspects of their life. He also specializes in working with young men transitioning into adulthood. He supports clients as they navigate new responsibilities and plan for their futures while they manage their mental health. Additionally, he specializes in working with individuals identifying as part of the LGBTQIA+ community to navigate their own mental health struggles and identity amidst the plethora of external stressors. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Brian understands the importance of creating a safe environment to process the changing landscape this community must navigate.
Using a multimodal approach, Brian focuses on treating the individual, not the disorder. With experience in a variety of modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and solution-focused therapy, he tailors his approach to provide the best support in a way that is effective for you. He believes that empowering clients to be active participants in their care is paramount to growth. From the very beginning of treatment, you will be met with empathy in a judgement-free environment.
